Hidden Visions Mission Statement
To clarify right from the beginning, the values and objectives of H.V., the team has compiled a mission statement to which we are dedicated to following.

Our main goal is to produce a high quality film ezine targeted at the next generation, aged fifteen to twenty-five, which will inform and opinionate its audience on film related subjects that interest them.-
We will go by the assumption that there are teenagers and young adults in the world who care about sharing their own opinion as well as building up a whole community related to our collective passion: cinema.

We are working towards making Hidden Visions a highly popular digital venue for all open-minded teenagers and young adults. We will accomplish this by strengthening our brand name and going beyond our capabilities in the pursuit of excellence for our e-zine.

We must understand that the application of the highest standards of excellence in our publication's quality and our strategy is the key to obtaining a significant importance on the internet.

We will also ensure a positive working environment where everyone is treated with respect, dignity and can be trusted.

Diversity and difference of opinion should be valued within the community and in our work rather than ignored.

We are not primarily driven by the eventual financial possibilities of Hidden Visions, but rather by the sense of producing a great collective effort and accomplishing something outstanding as a team; as well as providing a boost to the future careers of our writers and managers.
The first thing you will notice about Hidden Visions is the general feel of our magazine which is, above all unique. If we take into consideration the film magazine market of today, we can definitely see that among the mainstream film-glamour magazines, there are quite a few quality independent cinema mags out there. BFI's "Sight & Sound" is one example of a quality monthly film magazine.
However if we look at the percentage of these film mags that target a teenage audience, are written by the same group of people, and that are international, the numbers grow thin, in fact so thin that it comes down to nothing. We want to develop something different: a global, multi-cultural, easily accessible film ezine, that will enable teens and young adults to interact freely in the world of cinematography.
Our main ambition is to create with other film enthusiasts, a powerful, non-influenced, fulfilling experience, where there's something new for everyone. The keywords for Hidden Visions are without a doubt: content, appeal, communication, honesty.
We will accomplish this, going by the assumption that there are people out there like us who want to change the history of cinematography altogether, by democratizing it completely, leaving every piece of money and corruption out of the story, and sticking to the bare subject. Hidden Visions doesn't work in a hierarchical way, everyone involved is changing the mag each day, letting it evolve gradually.
Our great strength is the fact that our writers and managers are pushing the publication forward with tremendous drive and ambition because they want to see such a magazine come to light. So this defines our approach and attitude towards our magazine.

Hidden Visions was founded by 16 year old Owen Gothill and co-founded/supported by various other friends of his age. The 4 (the numbers are growing) main people of the Hidden Visions team are working at the very heart of the magazine, and are still leading operations, management, and design full time.

Owen is the Hidden Visions founder, designer and contributor. As well as writing the editorial, he oversees the overall management of each issue. Owen is one of the die hard film fanatics of the team, and he is a bit eccentric...only joking (not really). If you're interested in joining the team, he's the guy to contact.

TEENAGERS SET UP UNIQUE GOLBAL FILM EZINE
Hidden Visions is an online e-zine founded, run, written and designed by a group of teenagers in France and the U.K. In an entirely new form, Hidden Visions aims to provide quality & independent in depth analysis, reviews and info for the changing world of cinema.
Written for and by a new growing generation, Hidden Visions is the new "Sight and Sound" for international youth. Yes! In this new age, Hidden Visions is spreading culture like peanut butter!
The founders invented the concept in February of this year when looking for high quality journalism for their age group. The existing market is filled with teenage trash-journalism written 'by the brain dead for the brain dead'.
The three 16 year olds in France and England set up a web site and recruited new journalists and like minded teenagers around the world who shared the same vision; that of a new mainstream e-zine for teenagers who care about today's evolving cinema.
Their new e-zine Hidden Visions beta 1 has just been released and incorporates outstanding journalism from youth around the world as well as cutting edge design and an acute independent direction.
And finally, if you would like to help us recruit new people to Hidden Visions, we have two outreach ads at your disposition. Remember that spamming is illegal, so save them for your friends and family or designated message boards.

It's is a free, online e-zine written, managed and designed by teenagers around the world. We provide high quality, objective cinema articles, reviews, and information for the new age. We consider our target writer-reader audience roughly around the ages of 15 to 25. Hidden Visions is the most accomplished online cut-the-crap publication for teens. We do not advertise in it, we don't send you spam - we just want to write our e-zine and prove to the world that there are teenagers who care about cinema and urban culture.
