HIDDEN VISIONS OPENING NOTE

Welcome to Hidden Visions #1. I can tell you a lot of work has gone into Hidden Visions, some time ago everything was so unbelievably abstract, it was hard to imagine this project happening at all. So first of all I would like to thank everyone involved for this first issue, whether it was writing some articles or some plain encouragement, it sure did help. After several months of intensive labor on design and organization, I got exactly what I wanted and what I thought every film enthusiast would like right away. If you're wondering who we are, I'm sure you'll be interested in reading the recently compiled dossier which explains in depth our magazine, our backgrounds and various other pieces of info, so check it out now. Hidden Visions is for people like myself, film buffs, who ultimately want a hub to meet each other, talk and express their opinions openly, we call it open source for cinema: anyone can talk about their cinema tastes, get published and have some sense of achievement. It isn't a beauty contest (well the design is nice don't ya think? E-mail me suggestions..)! No, we care about the bare, honest opinion of each individual, however gritty it is. We want those film fanatics from around the world to reveal themselves, show off a bit, debate and spark wars (well maybe not)... damn I always go too far...

So what's really important is the content (right?) that's why we have been working our asses off to deliver some of the most interesting film news, reviews and debates for this first very special issue. And this isn't just for issue #1, expect quality articles all through our lovely existence. Hidden Visions is a film ezine which means that anyone can write an article and get it "published" in an issue. Most importantly, it's international, this means that the subject of the article (film, director..) can be from any country of the world, this is the same for the nationality of the writer, as long as he/she writes in english. Hidden Visions is destined for teenagers and young adults between the age of 16 and 20 (this includes myself), but I have been careful not to put too much emphasis on this as any aged human being should be allowed to write here, ultimately it's the content that counts. So for all those dynamic film buffs out there in the world (and I'm sure there are a lot of you), join the team, become part of the privilage or simply send me an email about anything that comes across your mind (don't worry, I'm very outgoing), as for those who don't want to, well you can just read!
